The Apartment has a rich history in Grand Rapids and has been around for over four decades. Began by Ed Ladner and Milton Lenox, they passed the baton to new owner Bob Johnson. The Apartment has become more than just a bar. Although known for catering to the LGBTQ community, EVERYONE is welcome! Our location, next to the regionally renowned Civic Theater, makes it a favorite for before or after stopping for theater goers. We are also located just a few blocks from the Van Andel Arena.

Through the years the Apartment's fundraising efforts for charities and non-profits have made it a very respected venue in the downtown area. Stop in and say "Hi!" and you'll soon discover why the "APT" is the Place Where Friends Meet.
