THE ARTISTS
(In alphabetical order)

Ian Brown (he/him) Ensemble, Billy US
Ian has been performing locally since graduating high school in 2013. Favorite credits include American Idiot and Hundred Days with Actors Theatre, Hair and Addams Family with Circle Theatre, and Rocky Horror with what would eventually become Betka-Pope Productions. Offstage, he fancies himself a scholar of fiction and adamantly maintains that 'video games are lit, as in literature.'

TJ Clark (he/they) Captain Hammer
As a Dr. Horrible superfan, TJ is thrilled to make their BPP debut with this production. They are a frequent volunteer, both onstage and off, at various theatres around GR. They would like to thank you for supporting local artists!

Samuel Cordray (he/him) Billy/Dr. Horrible
Samuel was a high school marching band kid, but never dreamed of appearing on stage in a musical. Not just any musical either, but his all time favorite one, and as Dr. Horrible himself. While this is Sam's first stage appearance, his love for this production will shine through. Samuel would like to thank his fambly for all the love and encouragement.

Chase Decker (he/him) Ensemble, Captain Hammer US
Chase is excited to be in his first show with Betka-Pope Productions! He could previously be seen in various companies in the Grand Rapids area including Grand Rapids Civic Theatre (Something Rotten!), Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company (Love's Labours Lost, Blue-Eyed Hag, King Lear, Henry VI, Knight of the Burning Pestle), and Heritage Theatre Company (Assassins, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Time of Your Life). When Chase is not doing theatre, he can be found throwing axes as a lane coach at Flanneljax's or at your local game shop spending way too much money on Magic: the Gathering cards.

Hannah Jarvis (she/her) Ensemble, Penny US
Hannah Jarvis recently played Logainne Shwartzandgrubenierre in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling at Circle Theatre and is excited to be a part of her first production with Betka-Pope Productions. Hannah spends her days as a research and development scientist at a life sciences company and is grateful that she can continue to pursue theatre in her free time. She would like to thank her friends and family for their love and support in pursuing her passions.

Avery Mills (she/her) Ensemble, Swing
Avery has been in the performing arts around West Michigan for as long as she can remember. This is Avery’s first show with this company and she is thrilled to work with such amazing people! She has previously appeared in many West Michigan Savoyard productions playing roles such as Patience, Mabel in Pirates of Penzance and Gianetta in Gondoliers. Her favorite role to date was as Ella in Cinderella with Lionheart Productions! Avery would like to thank her supportive friends and family for putting up with the constant screeching that she calls practicing!

Kayley Poleski (she/her) Ensemble, Moist US
Kayley is very excited to be returning to theater for the first time since 2016. She attended East Kentwood High School and performed as ensemble for My Favorite Year and The Wiz, then later performing as JennyAnyDots for Cats in her final year at EK. She looks forward to making new friends in the theater world in the future.

Allison Tousley (she/they) Moist
Allison is thrilled to join the team Betka-Pope again! You may have previously seen them as Riff Raff in Rocky Horror (Betka-Pope Productions), Rosencrantz in Hamlet (Master Arts Theater), or as Lady Eugenia in a Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder (CCP) to name a few. Allison would like to extend their gratitude to their friends and family supporting them throughout their chaotic schedule allowing them to do another dream show. Dr. Horrible is a hugely sentiment show for them, and they cannot wait to make everyone feel a little more damp.

Jenna Walker (she/her) Penny
Jenna Walker (she/her)
Jenna is so excited to geek out with this production of Dr. Horrible! Jenna has kept busy performing all over West Michigan, most recently in The British Invasion at Circle Theatre and Jane Eyre at Master Arts Theatre. She has also performed with Exit Left, Shadblow Theatre, and the West Michigan Savoyards. Thank you to the production team for this incredible experience!
THE PIT BAND

Eric Pennock (he/they) Guitar
Eric is excited to be a part of another BPP musical. He has played guitar in four previous productions for BPP - Ghosts in the Graveyard, Xanadu, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Carrie The Musical. They also played guitar in the Aquinas college production of 9 to 5. Eric has also had the pleasure of acting in two productions with the Ebony Road Players company - Loving (as Richard Loving) and Sheepdog (as Ryan). When he's not being a theater nerd, you can find Eric at punk shows, with his daughter, being silly with his son, petting dogs, or playing guitar in his new rock band The Wretched Hive.

Stephen Huseby (he/him) Drums
Stephen is so thrilled to be a part of another Betka-Pope production! His favorite roles as an actor include Amos in Chicago (Betka-Pope), Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music (Grand Rapids Civic), and Billy in Once (Grand Rapids Civic). He has also played music professionally for most of his adult life, performing in varying capacities in venues around the world. He isn’t new to percussion, but this is his first time playing drums for a musical and he is so beyond thrilled to be given the push and support of Maddy Owen and the Betka-Pope team!

THE PRODUCTION TEAM

Lilleigh Christopher (she/they) Director/Choreographer
Lilleigh Christopher is thrilled to be making her post-college directorial debut! Previous directing credits include Pillow and The Three Most Difficult Words, both at Adrian College. Lilleigh is a performer primarily, previously seen with BPP in Chicago as a dancer and ensemble swing, and The Rocky Horror Show as a Phantom and the understudy for Janet. She loves and enjoys anything and everything to do with theatre, having previously stage managed, costume designed, and even written plays as well! She hopes you enjoy this wonderfully nerdy show!

Matty Owen (she/her) Music Director
Matty is a Grand Rapids transplant since 2018 after graduating from Indiana University Bloomington in Indiana. Since moving to GR she has worked with several local community theaters and production companies, as well as playing piano for pit orchestras. She is so excited to share the work Noah and her have been putting into this show, and for the chance to music direct in collaboration with BPP again. Previous Music Director credits include: “Indecent” Jewish Theatre GR 2023; “The Rocky Horror Show” BPP 2022; “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” Master Arts Theatre 2022; “Jasper in Deadland” University Players IU 2018. Previous musician credits include: “9 to 5” Aquinas Theatre 2023; “Mary Poppins” Civic Theatre GR 2022. All the love to my family, and to the community that makes these productions possible.

Kay Felty (they/she) Stage Manager
Past credits include Biloxi Blues (costume manager) at Jewish Theatre Grand Rapids, Kill, Move, Paradise (sound operator) at GRCC Players, Something Rotten (dresser) at Grand Rapids Civic Theatre, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom (assistant stage manager) at Circle Theatre, and Sweeney Todd (deck crew) at Circle Theatre. Kay is very excited to explore a new role in theatre with BPP, is also a 2023 pre-theatre graduate from GRCC, and their hobbies include sewing and cosplay. A big thank you to my partner Will, and my family for supporting me with every show I’m involved in.

EmC Cipriano (they/she) Costume Design
Emily "EmC" Cipriano is thrilled to be back with Betka-Pope Productions for the second time this year! In May, they served as Costume Designer for BPP's "Chicago." EmC would like to acknowledge that Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog was a product of the last Writer's Guild of America strike in 2007-2008. The show continues to be a beacon proving the value of artists in unstable times, advocating for fair wages, and never underestimating a brand new day. EmC would like to thank her lovely girlfriend, incredible family & friends, and super cute cats.

Jenna Betka-Pope (she/her) Producer
Jenna Betka-Pope is one half of Betka-Pope Productions and the current Director of Education and Outreach at Grand Rapids Civic Theatre. She has enjoyed watching new local art flourish within the community over the past few years and loves helping others organize their passion projects. When she is not answering emails or in a theater of some sort, she enjoys reading, traveling, watching trash TV, and spending time with her spouse, Eirann, and pup, Cornelius.

Eirann Betka-Pope (they/them) Producer
Eirann Betka-Pope is a producer, artist and activist in Grand Rapids. They represent one-half of Betka-Pope Productions.
Eirann also founded Funny Girls where they served as President, and is the former owner and Artistic Director of The Fuse Box. Helping to create The Comedy Project, they also served as Theatre Manager, a writer, performer, producer, and instructor there. Eirann was also a founder and committee member of Grand Rapids Improv Festival and Comedy Outlet Mondays as well as a producer, host, writer, and news anchor at NewsFlash!.
They currently teach at The Grand Rapids Civic Theatre School for Theatre Arts, and work as the Development Manager at Grand Rapids Pride Center. Eirann continues to produce projects through BPP, as well as instruct coperate and public workshops. In their spare time, they enjoy travel, being outdoors, cooking, and spending time with their spouse, Jenna, and dog, Cornelius.
