Rapid Art Movement is a free arts event that embraces the unique setting and culture of Grand Rapids. Passengers will board a DASH bus transformed through drawings, sculpture, poetry, and performance and take a ride like theyβve never experienced before.

β’ Rapid Art Movement will run six times over a Friday and Saturday evening, January 24th and 25th. On either day, board the bus from the DASH stop along Monroe Ave at Rosa Park Circle at 5:30, 7:00, or 8:30. The ride will last approximately one hour and drop riders off at the Public Museum between Pearl St. and the Blue Bridge, three blocks from Rosa Park Circle
β’ A host will welcome passengers onto the DASH and guide them through the artworks and performances throughout their ride. At various stops along the DASH route, performers will board the bus during extended stops to perform. In between stops, passengers will have a chance to take in the art and poetry installed on the bus.

Rapid Art Movement is co-organized by Eirann Betka-Pope, artistic director of Betka-Pope Productions and Zachary Trebellas, director of Avenue for the Arts. With this event they aim to showcase the talents of Michigan artists and highlight what makes living in Grand Rapids special.
